Hi Sugarrae,
We made a one time payment to review and include our website in BOTW directory. Our site was rejected "Lack of substantive unique content" despite have a very unique content on our site. One thing we did realize that having paid one-time fee seems to be the prime reason.
I saw other forums where people have complained as early as 2005 saying their sites were rejected by BOTW. But when they submitted the same site for SPONSOR CATEGORY the same URL was accepted.
This to me seems like a unprofessionalism. I would strongly discourage people from submitting to BOTW web diretcory. Instead consider other directories like Joeant, Jayde, Yahoo, etc.
